Commercial Estimator/Sales Representative for Perimeter Roofing VA

Job Summary:

As a Commercial Estimator/Sales Representative, your role will encompass several crucial responsibilities. You will take charge of managing office leads, independently generating new leads, and establishing a robust network of referral businesses within the Central Virginia region. Your primary focus will be to offer roofing, gutter, window, and siding services to businesses in the area.

In this capacity, you will conduct comprehensive inspections to identify roofing damage and determine the most effective solutions for our customers. Your expertise will be instrumental in preparing and presenting detailed estimates for commercial roofing projects. Collaborating closely with our operations teams, you will ensure that each project delivers a superior 5-Star Customer experience.

The ideal candidate for this position must demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in diverse construction practices. You should be well-versed in job site safety protocols, possess proficiency in reading blueprints, and exhibit expertise in installing various commercial flat roofing systems. These systems include Mod-bit, TPO, EPDM, PVC membranes, liquid applied coatings, as well as custom roofing systems like slate and cedar shake tile.

Additionally, prior experience with pre-bid meetings, bid-bond, performance bond, and securing government contracts is essential. You should be skilled in managing the process of obtaining and securing commercial system warranties.

Sales and Estimating Responsibilities:

• Conduct timely and comprehensive roof inspections and estimates to accurately assess project requirements.
• Skillfully evaluate potential storm damage, employing ladder climbing, attic access, and roof walking techniques.
• Engage in face-to-face sales appointments with potential clients while proactively seeking referral business.
• Drive lead generation through effective canvassing and networking initiatives.
• Offer expert construction consultation to clients, guiding them towards the best solutions for their needs.
• Communicate persuasively and convincingly about our company's services, meeting specific customer needs in a competitive market.
• Initiate follow-ups with customers post-installation to gather feedback and obtain referrals, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a consistent follow-up process for all open bids, maximizing opportunities for successful closures.
• Strategically target and market the most lucrative commercial projects to optimize business outcomes.
• Set ambitious sales goals, aiming for increased volume, high closing rates, and improved gross profits.
• Actively participate in networking groups to foster valuable business relationships and promote our company's brand.
• Utilize the company's web-based CRM platform efficiently, ensuring an organized workflow and streamlined communication.
• Ensure that detailed labor orders are provided for each sold job, guaranteeing seamless installation processes.
